Privacy Policy

Last Updated: October 21, 2025

Your privacy and the integrity of clinical data are our top priorities. ProtoAudit is designed to operate completely offline. We do not collect, transmit, or store your clinical data on external servers.

1. Data Collection and Processing

ProtoAudit processes all data locally on your Macintosh device. When you import Excel datasets (Patient lists, Investigator details, Site information) or JSON frameworks into the application:

  • The data is parsed and analyzed solely within your device's memory (RAM).
  • No clinical trial data, Patient Health Information (PHI), or compliance reports are transmitted to us or any third-party cloud services.
  • We do not have access to your audit results, compliance scores, or the contents of your generated reports.

2. Data Storage

Session Data: ProtoAudit may temporarily save your current audit session state to your local device's "Documents" or "Application Support" folder to allow for session restoration in case of an app restart. This data remains on your device and can be deleted by you at any time.

Generated Reports: PDF and JSON reports generated by the application are saved only to file paths explicitly selected by you via the macOS "Save" dialog.

3. App Analytics

ProtoAudit does not include any third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics or Firebase). The only telemetry we receive is standard, anonymized crash reports provided by Apple via App Store Connect, provided you have opted-in to share such data with developers through your macOS system settings.

4. Permissions

The application may request the following permissions:

  • File Access: To read the Excel/JSON files you explicitly select for auditing.
  • Folder Access: To save generated reports to your desired destination.
